On Friday October 27th at 8pm in the State Farm Center, comedian Trevor Noah will be performing.
Trevor Noah is a comedian originating from South Africa, who reached international fame after taking over Jon Stewart’s role on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. Noah’s comedy is typically satirical in nature, dealing with a wide array of American political issues.
Noah is critically acclaimed, having won a variety of awards, including the 2012 and 2014 award for “Comic of the Year” for the South African Comic’s Choice Award, and the 2017 Primetime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Short Form Variety Series” for The Daily Show.
In addition to his television career, Trevor Noah is author of his 2016 memoir, Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, about his childhood and his parent’s then illegal interracial relationship.
Noah is on tour this fall, visiting states across the United States. UIUC students are lucky to have the chance to see them perform this homecoming weekend.
